Three steps to live cricket streaming

1

Register your club

Sign up with your Play-Cricket API token and site ID. We validate your credentials and set up your club's overlay.

2

Add overlay to Streamlabs

Copy your unique overlay URL and add it as a custom layer in the Streamlabs mobile app. One-time setup — works every match.

3

Go live on match day

Open Streamlabs, point your phone at the pitch, and stream. Scores, batting cards, and bowling figures appear automatically.

From zero to live in minutes

Streamlabs mobile app

Add your CricWidget overlay to Streamlabs

1

Download Streamlabs

Free on iOS and Android. Sign in with your YouTube account.

2

Create a new scene

Tap the menu (top-left) and select Scenes. Create a new scene and choose the Custom layout.

3

Open the editor

Tap the menu again and select Editor. Then tap Layers in the top-right corner.

4

Add your overlay URL

Add a new layer, select URL, and paste your CricWidget overlay link: cricwidget.com/live/your-slug

5

Position and resize

Drag the overlay into position. The editor works in landscape mode. Save when you're happy.

You only need to do this once. The overlay URL stays the same for every match.

YouTube live streaming

Enable live streaming on your channel

1

Open YouTube Studio

Go to studio.youtube.com on desktop. Click the Create button (camera icon) and select Go Live.

2

Verify your channel

YouTube will ask you to verify your phone number. Enter it and confirm the code.

3

Wait 24 hours

YouTube requires a 24-hour wait after your first verification before you can go live. Plan ahead.

4

Connect Streamlabs

In Streamlabs, sign in with the same YouTube account. It will auto-detect your channel.

Important: Do this at least 24 hours before your first match. YouTube needs time to activate live streaming on your channel.

Everything happens automatically

Live scorebar

Current score, overs, run rate, and partnership — always visible on your stream.

Batting cards

Current batsmen with runs, balls faced, fours, and sixes. Auto-triggered every few overs.

Bowling figures

Current bowler's spell with overs, maidens, runs, and wickets. Shows up automatically.

Partnership tracker

Live partnership runs and balls. Resets accurately on every wicket.

Auto event detection

Wickets, new overs, innings changes — detected in real-time from Play-Cricket data.

Operator dashboard

Manual override controls. Lock a match, trigger specific overlays, or let auto mode handle it.

Play-Cricket sync

Direct integration with Play-Cricket. If your scorer updates, your stream updates.

Works with any club

Any club registered on Play-Cricket can sign up. Just need your API token and site ID.

Permanent URLs

Your overlay URL never changes. Set it once in Streamlabs or OBS and forget about it.
